October 19 Prayer
Where do my eyes turn this morning as the sky turns from clear to cloudy? I wait in silence and look inside my heart to see what my focus is upon . Reading the words of Jesus, to guard yourself from all kinds of greed, and in Ecclesiastes; What profit comes from all the toil and anxiety of heart with which you work under the sun? ….Be rich towards God and not focus on storing up security and possessions for what will happen to the things you have prepared after your life is over? Luke 12 Where has my focus been? What really matters to God? What anxieties are in the forefront of my behavior? Now I turn and see where God who is rich in mercy has placed me. He has brought me out of death into life , Raised me up into glorious perfection in the heavenly realm and co-seated as one with Christ, So that I and that means we may fulfill our destiny that He has given to us, and grace abounds in the work to be completed through us. Eph.2:1-10 In this our eyes and heart may rest and take courage. Turn our eyes and thoughts on being rich towards God. Whatever this day holds, if the clouds give way to blue skies once again or cover the earth with midst, ‘I will praise The Lord while I live’ Let our hearts be full of the riches of Christ and see ourselves as God sees us, where he has destined us for this very hour. Breathe in life into the depth of your soul to be revived with his abundant grace. Peace be still my heart . “Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.” Jude 1:24-25 NLT October 16 Prayer
““What is the value of your soul to God? Could your worth be defined by an amount of money? God doesn’t abandon or forget even the small sparrow he has made. How then could he forget or abandon you? What about the seemingly minor issues of your life? Do they matter to God? Of course they do! So you never need to worry, for you are more valuable to God than anything else in this world.” Luke 12:6-7, Eph.1:11-14 How do I view my own Soul? Do I value it and nurture the part of me that is unseen, the hidden in secret parts? We each belong to God and have been marked by him, like a tattoo so to speak made by the Holy Spirit. I wonder what that mark looks like to God? I wonder if we each have a unique marking according to our heavenly name? Maybe it’s the name that is written on the white stone given to us that only we recognize…or a symbol that only we know of. He is that personal and we are truly His beloved. Consider the state of your soul currently and let the Holy Spirit reveal to you the seal of hope that He has placed upon you. Let a word or image come that you will know is just for you. Prayer; ‘Creator God we recognize you as the One who holds all of our issues and struggles. Everything that is hidden in the secret places of our hearts we let come into the light. Because we trust you more than we trust ourselves and we have no need for fear. Everything matters to you, the big and the small. May we know our hope-promise that is sealed upon us for the purpose of praise to your glory. May our souls grow up into the very marking you have placed upon us and know how precious we are to You. We relinquish every thought that is not real and the facade that we hide behind. May your Holy Spirit release us into the freedom of who we really are and to know our own name. We belong to you. All Praise be to the glory of the Three in One. Amen October 15 Prayer
‘Let nothing disturb you, nothing frighten you, all things pass away God never changes. patience gains all things whoever has God lacks nothing.’ Teresa of Avila ‘He has blessed us! Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has been lavished upon us! He has destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ! It gave him great delight and pleasure to do this! It is to the praise of his glorious grace that he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved!’ … In the fullness of time, he will gather up all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.’ Eph.1:3-10 Ponder these words and let God's glorious grace wash over you as refreshing waters. Let everything that disturbs you, everything that frightens you be gathered up into the arms of the Beloved. Everything you need for living in this world has already been given to you. Jesus is enough. Now receive as a child all the grace, the strength,hope and provision you desire this day. Prayer; ‘We hold up those that are just struggling to survive into your loving, grace filled arms. May they know of your great love and delight to call them your very own children. May they know that everything they could ever need is in you. May the light of Christ break through each dark corner and transfer the heavenly realm of blessing there. We say yes to your blessing being poured out on the earth. GIve us patience to wait with You and know we have every spiritual blessing in You. May we be a part of your unfolding mystery and plan to reveal your all encompassing love. May You reign supreme in me! All praise to the Creator of Life, to Jesus our redeemer, and to the Holy Spirit, divine presence of Love. Amen October 14 Prayer
“But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.” Galatians 5:22-23 TPT There is something about waking up to a rosy pink sky kissing the sea that fills me with joy. There’s this sense of God's Holy Spirit wrapped all around the world with arms waiting to be received, waiting to guide and lead whoever will dive into love. There are two kingdoms within us. One that is lead by our sins, the attitudes of fear and control which leads away from love and the kingdom of the Spirit living within us to produce the fruit of divine love. So it really isn’t so much about striving to be good by killing ourselves in the process but it’s about surrendering to love in every place we hide. Come out into freedom and follow the spirits lead. He desires to bring these beautiful gifts within you to give to others. Revel in his peace and joy today! Know that God is good and His Spirit will produce goodness through you. Look for ways to be filled with grace to overflow into the world. “ Loving Creator, we say yes to your Holy Spirit living in us today . We choose to follow your leading and notice when we stray from love. Give us the power to live in your divine love. We love your presence and look for it everywhere. May your glory fill the earth! Amen October 13 Prayer
“For freeedom Christ has set us free; stand firm and do not let anything enslave you, ...the only thing that counts is faith working through love.” Gal 5:1-6 God’s Grace is freely given, I know that, but when I do not experience grace and get caught up in the frustration of a broken down world I try to control it. I try to find grace by making everything work again, to make right what is wrong, fix the broken appliance, the car, the router that all falls apart in one day. And then there are people that I try to fix and change to my liking and way of seeing things. This is not living by grace! This is not faith working through love! We do not own grace, so we cannot control it by our own rules and guidelines. Only through gratitude and acceptance will we return to a life of grace. Pause now to surrender to him your anxiety, fear, frustrations and worries about the things that are not right for you. Pray a prayer of gratitude from Ps. 71 “Giver of all good gifts, we return to you our gratitude for all that you have provided for us. For you have done wonderful things for us. Even though I have gone through hardships, Love was there and restored my life. You lift me up from the depths and restore me to even greater honor. You comfort me once again. You are faithful to your promises. You have ransomed me and will not abandon me as I grow old. Thank you that I am created inside and out to be a container of your grace and glory. May we all surrender to your grace in little things and the big things that come our way today. Help us to see things the way they are and not as we are. Change us to be people that give out grace and work out our faith through love.-- “May grace, mercy and peace be with you from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father's Son in truth and love.” 2John:3 Amen October 12 Prayer
“Lord, your love has poured out so Many amazing blessings on our land! You’ve restored Jacob’s destiny from captivity. You’ve forgiven our many sins and covered every one of them in your love. Ps.85:1-2 Luke 11:29-33 What kind of sign are we looking for in this time of unrest in our world? What is Jesus' heart for this generation we are living in? He calls us to turn from injustice and turn our hearts back to God. My heart is heavy from all the fear and conflict we hear about everyday. We are people of the kingdom of hope not to worry and fear about rulers and leaders of nations that we are unable to change. We can pray, we can voice our desires, we can speak truth in love and show kindness through listening to others. We can work together with Christ in this generation to leave behind a future and a hope for the next generation. We can offer a way that leads to life and goodness. We can through Christ combat evil with good, harm with blessings, care for carelessness. We can be people of hope no matter what happens! Stop and sink into a grounded place with Jesus. He is your place of peace and a sure standing. Pray Psalm 85; “Bring us back to You, loving God and Savior. Restore our hearts so that we’ll never again see you as an angry God of judgment. Revive us again, O God! We know you will give us a fresh start. Then all your people will taste your joy and gladness. Pour out even more love on us! Reveal more of your kindness and restore us back to you! We will listen carefully to your voice and wait to hear whatever you say. Let us hear your promise of peace, the message everyone longs to hear. Do not let us in our ignorance turn back from following you. May Your power and presence shine on all your lovers. May Your mercy and truth kiss. May Righteousness shine down from the sky May you keep raining down blessing after blessing. All glory be to the Three in One! We open our hearts for You to shine through us this day! Amen October 10-11 Prayer
“Know that the Lord is God, Who made us, to whom we belong. We are God’s people, The sheep of his pasture.” Ps.100 “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.” Philippians 4:12 It starts with belonging,and responding to the invitation to come. Come to the large vast spread of a banquet laid out for all to partake of. Come and dine at this table of abundance. The table is God’s, his kingdom of love. And everything we need or could ever want is there for the taking. Through Isaiah he speaks, “The Lord prepares for all peoples a banquet of rich foods, he will remove the mourning veil covering all peoples, and the shroud enwrapping all nations, he will destroy death forever. The Lord will wipe away the tears from every cheek; he will take away his people’s shame everywhere on earth..” Imagine this banquet table laid out for all as we pray, God, of merciful love and grace , we are so full of gratitude for all you have prepared for us to receive. Let us know deep inside how much you love us tenderly and desire to care for us. Let us know that we belong to you so we may extend this merciful abundant love to others. May we see your invitation offered to all. Let us live in a contentment that embraces everything that is before us in this broken world. We hold all things in grace, whether hard times or good times for you have given us all things. May we learn this secret if kvining in every situation fully present to your grace within. We pray for those who are in want and need today. May they know your provision and may we know how to help them when called upon. We offer up every hard situation to you today and ask for your touch. We confess our wants and needs that keep us from desiring you. Remove the shame of your people so we may be a people that loves abundantly and hopes fully in a good God all the time. We thank you for your tender love and power to bring life out of death, and beauty out of ashes. Come and dine at the King’s table of abundance. The Lord is there October 9 Prayer
“Lord, if you measured us and marked us with our sins, who would ever have their prayers answered? But your forgiving love is what makes you so wonderful. No wonder you are loved and worshiped! This is why I wait upon you, expecting your breakthrough, for your word brings me hope.” Psalms 130:3-5 TPT Waiting takes time, forgiveness requires confession, hope rises by faith and we receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. These are truths revealed not by our own doings and rule making but through the blessing God gives us as his children passed on through the covenant of Love. Gal. 3:7-14 “A house divided cannot stand strong,a family splintered by feuding will fall apart.” Jesus says.Lk.11 How do we as his blessed family called to bless all nations through Abraham live our lives? How can we be the blessing for all people? I am thankful that he forgives us when we call, he hears our cries of confession and turning back around. Let us turn our hearts back to the law of love and be a new fool in the world. Like Francis of Assisi who gave up everything to follow Jesus' law of love towards everyone , “giving up the moneybag of his own opinions.” Pause to ask and respond to this question; What moneybag of opinions do you as God's family need to let go of? Prayer Gracious God, of loving mercy we come to you once again and ask you to open our minds and hearts to receive your Spirit of life. We ask for this gift of love to be placed within us, your church so we may be a people who bless all nations as you promised Abraham. May we find hope through your word in and through us today. May we have the courage to lay down what hinders us from being a blessing to others May we hang onto your promise of love living in us through your Spirit. Make us a people that are with you and not against you. May we gather with you and not be ones who scatter. May your kingdom come and your will be done on this earth as it is in heaven. Amen October 8 Prayer
“Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and keep knocking and the door will be opened to you.” Lk.11 Persistence is needed to keep on asking and to believe we will receive. But Who are we putting our faith in, our own belief system, rules and laws or in a supreme being that is loving, generous, and omnipresent? What if we simply lived by faith and really believed that our good, good father will give us more than bread? He promises to give the Holy Spirit to all that receive him. Like a Mother rising early to bake us warm bread and providing a generous portion for us to eat. Take and eat and be filled. For only as we are filled with the Holy Spirit may we be able to live simply without attachments that drag us downward into our fears. Our persistence is in asking to be filled, new everyday. Our persistence is in seeking to find his dwelling place in us. Our persistence is in knocking on the doors until they open and let in the grace ready to be given. Like warm bread in the early morning. May we be filled and satisfied to break our bread like Jesus did and give it to others. We ask today Lord for your Holy Spirit of love, grace and power to dwell within us, your body of believers and give us the strength to believe you for the greater, simpler way. Show us how to use our faith that brings glory to you on the earth. “And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power. Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life.” Eph. 3:16-17 TPT Amen October 7 Prayer
Once while Jesus was praying in a certain place...his disciples asked him, “Lord, teach us to pray.” Lk.11:14 A certain place,I wonder what that place was for Jesus. Others saw him there and were watching him pray. I wonder what they saw? There is a deep connection that happens in prayer, where this mystery of Christ in God, and the Holy Spirit praying through them happens. I want to feel that and know that deep connection with the three in one. Prayer is asking, prayer is thanking, prayer is crying out on behalf of others, prayer is resting, prayer is breathing, prayer is awe of all that is around you, prayer is being. Teach us to pray we ask, yet do we really want to learn because that means vulnerability to God and to our needs and to the needs of others. Breathe in love and receive this blessing from Psalm 20 , by Nan Merrill “May the one who created you in wholeness Meet your needs when you call! May the name of Love be your protection and rise up in your heart as a tower of strength! May all you have given in gratitude and with open hands be returned to you a hundredfold!
