October 31 Prayer

A beautiful moon gaze awakens me this morning setting upon the sea.
God’s love and wonder looking at me,
Holding me now just as the moon is held and lowered in the sky.

He calls me his beloved child and right now I belong.
I do not know what will happen next but I do know that we will see Christ one day face to face and will be like him. 1John 3:1-3

Let this thought and truth fill you with hope for when our hope is focused on Christ it will make us pure and change us.

There is always a light somewhere shining whether it is the moon setting or the sun rising, and His loving gaze is always upon us.

Rise up church and be filled with this hope of light to shine upon you and to shine in the world of darkness.
‘He will guide us along the unfamiliar paths turning darkness into light and making the rough places smooth. Isaiah 42:16

His light is shining all over the world somewhere as people sigh their prayers and many come to see the face of Christ in the light of a follower.

God’s beloved children coming home to him, to finally belong and be held in love.
May we echo his call.
Come back children to the One you belong to.

May the light fill you with hope that one day you shall be like him.
Full of grace we set our hope on Love.

Christ, in You who holds everything together, the whole earth, sun moon and sky.
We trust and rely upon your guidance along this rough patch we find ourselves walking upon in the world.

Open our hearts with eyes to gaze at you who goes before us and behind us.
We rest in your love and hope with joy of what is to come.

Praise be to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - Three in one.

Amen.

October 30 Prayer

‘ ..He that began a good work in you will continue to complete it, ‘because I hold you in my heart I pray that your love may increase ever more in knowledge, and every kind of perception, to discern what is of value,’ Philip.1-11

Paul prays with confidence knowing that it is Christ in you that will complete his work for his glory.

Jesus heals an afflicted man on the sabbath not as the leaders perceived to be a task of work but because it is who He is. Lk.14
He is healer and cannot not show compassion, He is love, so there is no other way to be.
God’s work in us is his glory and will bring him glory as we become as He is.

Pause to be with Jesus as He is now, full of compassion that sees every need and has the power to gather every heart unto himself.

‘ Lord Jesus, we long to see what you see and be as you are.
Help us change our perceptions and let you give us new ways of seeing things all around us.

May we receive the glory of our inheritance by staying close to you.

Give us the strength to stop in the middle of our wrong thinking and seeing so we may look again and think your way.

We thank you beautiful wise Holy Spirit for working in us to complete Christ’s glory through our lives.
May we live and move and have our being in you today.

Increase our love and ability to discern what is of true value and may our perceptions be changed to see your glory.

Let us not miss the opportunity that you place before us this day.
We rest in the confidence that you are faithful to complete what you have begun.

Amen

October 29 Prayer

“I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. Enfolding me with strength and steadfast love, my faith shall remain firm.” Psalm 62:1-2

‘Put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace, and stand firm in truth, faith , righteousness, word and prayer.’ Ephesians 6:10-20

Always in prayer, an offering of thoughts, intentions, imagination and desire to become heaven's solution on earth.

Today where do you find yourself in the battle and struggle with Spiritual forces of evil? Is it in the voices of blame, or shame, worry and despair?

See God your victor come and cloth you in every bit of armour that you need to be strengthened in.
It is not heavy armour but impenetrable and able to stand any weapons that come against you.

Stand firm, stand boldly in grace to face past lies that will no longer hold you back.

Hold on to your faith not in what you have to do but in what already has been done for you.

Pause to pray

‘Gracious God, in faith we put on the whole, complete armour provided for us to stand in.

We ask for increased awareness and to be alert of the battle around us so we may be ready to proclaim your peace through Jesus.

We ask for courage for all our leaders to make wise decisions for those they lead.

We pray for those that have power and control that they may act justly, with mercy and kindness in truth.
Protect all from the evil one that wants to kill and destroy.

You have come to give us all life in your spirit.
May we walk and live in your supernatural gifts to bring your kingdom solutions to the challenges we face today.
Heal our land and our families in the name of your Son Jesus Christ we pray.

We receive all of your provisions of grace this day.

Amen

October 28 Prayer

Pray and never cease praying . We pray as we breathe and every breath is a prayer.

To whom do we pray?
Creator of heaven and earth
He who declares justice and mercy to all!
And even in all the injustice we see, and helplessness we feel at times it is good to just stop and remember.
Breathe again
With every breath we receive the spirit of life,
Hope in the mystery of today and come to Jesus who names us as His own. Luke 6

And Jesus went out to the mountain to pray and there he prayed all night long. He prayed before making a decision to call his friends to a higher commitment, a higher mandate to follow.

Now we are the ones he calls out to hear and to heal.
As we are his prayer we too become a prayer in the world
For we are his hands and feet.

Pray, breathing in and out the life of Jesus;

Lord we are yours.
Help us to remain in You so all the power you have may flow through us to heal and restore.
May we be a part of the plan for justice and mercy.

We ask for healing to come to those who need your touch this day.
Show us the ones we need to reach out to with love and mercy.

All power and dominion are yours.
We surrender to your plan and purpose this day to be carried out through our lives.

Amen

October 27 Prayer
“Seek more of his strength!
Seek more of him!
Let us always be seeking the light of his face.” Ps.105
The kingdom of God is like… Luke 13:18-21
A seed growing, and like yeast rising…
Where is the kingdom of justice and peace, hope and strength?
What is my desire for more of the kingdom of God in my life?
We all are facing the same future uncertainty, a valley of darkness and the mystery of what is yet to come.
Fears are all around us, and we lament with those that are in loss and pain, sickness and ruin.
We all long for this time of captivity and weariness to be over.
Where is the kingdom of God during this time?
Let us seek more of his strength by seeking his light right now wherever we find ourselves.
Let us accept this present moment by surrendering to what we cannot change.
Let us find You Lord here, within each of us.
Heart meeting heart, where sorrows are comforted and wounds mended,
Past fears dissolved, as we glide with You over troubled waters.
May your word awaken in every heart a new dawn of light and love in the midst of unrest.
We find our strength once again in your unfailing promise to those who seek
You.
Thank you for your restorative strength in our souls this day.
Amen

October 26 Prayer

Hope,
O hope that
comes quickly in the night
to
Lift our souls up into your light

Your ways are true,
your truth is life.

Holy Spirit giver of life
we
invite you into every part of us,
Body, soul and mind.

“Be imitators of God as beloved children,
be kind to one another,
Compassionate,
Tender hearted
Forgiving one another
As Christ has forgiven you..

Once you were darkness but
now
in the Lord you are light.
The fruit of the light results
in
goodness, righteousness and truth to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.
Live as children of light!” Eph.4:32-5

Pause and surrender to Christ’s love and forgiveness for you. Feel his compassion for you that pleases the Father.
and Pray,,,

’Kind and loving savior,
You
who forgives all we surrender to this gift of love that meets us right where we are today.
We are filled with gratitude that you give us light where there is darkness in our souls.

May we quickly turn from whatever ever takes us away from your light and run into your loving embrace.

May our hearts be filled anew this day with the hope that Holy Spirit gives to live as children of light.
May others be attracted to your light by the way we treat one another as you treat us.

Forgive us when we stray from your way and empower our hearts to forgive
others.
Today we begin again and choose to live as your beloved children
with a future and a hope.
Enlighten our hearts to live in your love this day we pray.

Amen

October 23 Prayer
“One”
“Be faithful to guard and maintain the sweet harmony of the Holy Spirit
Among you in the bonds of peace, being one body and one spirit,
as you were all called into the same glorious hope
of divine destiny.
For the Lord is one, and so are we,”..Eph.4:3-4

We are one, humanity that is, one creation called into one.
And how can I maintain and guard this sweet harmony of the one and hold to the bond of peace when there are so many different voices out there?

Just look at creation as a whole in all it’s multiplicity and unending variety. Even as the leaves are changing colors when the weather becomes cooler there are not two leaves that are exactly the same. I do not pick up a leaf and try to change it but hold it to behold it’s beauty and uniqueness even as it’s color fades.

How do we maintain and guard the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace?
Through our calling to come, ‘with humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.’

We get to carry each other as the song ‘One’ by U2 proclaims;

Is it getting better, or do you feel the same?
We’re one but we’re not the same
So we hurt each other, then we do it again..

“One love, One blood,
One life
You got to do what you should
One life
with each other
Sisters and my brothers
One life
But we’re not the same
We get to carry each other
One love
One life..”

Prayer;

‘Beloved One, forgive us of our own false ways.
We desire to come and live out the calling of unity in the bond of peace .
You give us this one life
May we live it with you and for you

Create in us humble hearts with eyes to see the beauty in the other
To carry one another through our differences
So that we may all be apart of the One
The flow of all the many rivers finding their way into the vast sea.

Help us not prevent or block this flow by showing us the stones and boulders to be removed and make the way smooth.

We all have one calling, though different they lead into the one that is You.
Beloved Creator and friend, Holy Spirit,
Lead us this day into your sweet harmony and unity in the one bond of peace.
Amen

October 22 Prayer

October 22 Prayer

“Love takes up where knowledge leaves off.” Thomas Aquinas

What makes a tree stand upright without falling over ?
What grounds you each day?

Paul’s Prayer in Ephesians 3:15-21 asks for the church to be strengthened in their inner beings, to be rooted and grounded in love.
To be filled with the fullness of God.
To allow His power to work in and through you.

“To know the love of Christ that dwells in you which surpasses knowledge.”

Now that is a thought.

How can we know something that is beyond knowing?
There is a power that works in us, thanks be to God and it is not in our self efforts but in our realizing that God is in us.

We cannot be separate from him but in our thinking that we are.

So I ask again, What grounds you each day?

Take a moment and see yourself as a tree with your roots going down deep into the earth until you find the running stream beneath you.

This stream is alive and it is the life source you need to survive.
Imagine this life source going up through your roots up the trunk into your branches until buds form and turn to blossoms that turn to fruit.

Love is the ground of your being.
Drink it in this day and be filled with the fullness of God.

Let him return to you a fuller version of yourself.
One that is without shame, or blame but one with a heart that is willing, supple, seeking and full of wonder.

‘May we all be like trees planted by streams of water, that yield fruit in due season, and their leaves flourish; in all they do, they give life.’ Psalm 1

Amen

October 21 Prayer
“Grace, Grace, all is grace”
Ephe.3:7-12

There is a deep, deep well that never runs dry
A vast expanding ocean spread out across the sky
There are forests with tree lined trails that echo boundlessly
and endless ripples vibrating out upon the waters from one cast stone.

All is grace, if we look up and out to see it.
Grace is given freely to us all.
That is the great mystery of the cross of Christ.

We find it, a treasure so full of riches and we hide it to search for it again.

Grace is freely given to receive and we have full access to the mystery of Grace.

Here in us and through us is the diverse wisdom of God’s plan exemplified.

Now we have the mandate to humbly serve grace lived out through our lives.

Pause a moment and try to wrap your mind around this treasure you hold within you.
Better yet let your spirit take these thoughts in and respond to God in a silent prayer.

Breathe in his grace to cover every worry, concern and strife you carry.
Ask, how can I serve the grace in me and give this treasure to others.

Pray this day,
‘May your church exemplify the mystery of Christ's Grace here on earth by our love and service to one another.

Let us serve passionately with grace and strength so that in everything God alone will be glorified through Jesus Christ.

May we give our lives away and be that one cast stone of Grace in our world.’

Amen

October 20 Prayer
“I will hear what God proclaims, He proclaims peace.” Ps.85:9

Remember, that we were once far away, without hope and without God in the world.
Strangers, sojourners seeking our way until we met Christ and received his message of peace.

He is our peace and he has broken down the walls of hostility and hate to build a new humanity , a new building with the cross as the sacred stone holding us together to be a dwelling place for God.

“Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.”
Ephesians 2:12-22

No matter where we are Christ meets us there. His cross becomes our meeting place.

“Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit through the cross of Christ.”

Fill us now with your spirit as we pray:

Turn our eyes to you, O Beloved and let us see the cross of Christ as that which unites us.

Where we see symbols of division and hate
May we see your face of peace.
Build us up spiritually.
We ask that we may be a sacred place of your peace.

Where our hearts are divided and weak
May your kindness and truth meet.
Where we see hopelessness and fear
May justice and peace kiss.

We cry out for you to heal our land
From sickness and division.
May the peace of Christ rule in our hearts this day,
And the wisdom of his message live within us as we proclaim peace.

Hear our prayers, and fill us with a new hope this day.

All Praise be to God, our glorious savior and redeemer for all.

Amen
