“ He restores my soul “ David writes in Psalm 23 after he laid down in the green pastures by the still waters.
First we must be led to the place He has prepared for us to be restored. So when we cry out , O’ God will you restore us, we are saying in essence we need you to do this. We are weak and God is the strength that we cry out for . It says in scripture to humble yourself before God, bow down, render your hearts and this is the posture of humility, it is in this posture we take when we pray. First we must be led and then we choose to follow in humility . So today as we come to the quiet still waters, we yield to His will and desire to restore in the way that is eternal. We pray O’ Lord will you restore the sick and dying into your hands and heal the land. Let your people rise up with one voice, one heart and one purpose to see your glory here on earth. As you listen to the song pray along “O’ God will you restore us, and grant us your salvation.” Amen https://youtu.be/Klew9FvlhvE As you come to prayer today , pause and notice where you are tired and weary. Your tiredness may be in your body or your mind and soul. Notice where you carry this tiredness and breath a deep breath of relief . Take the hand of the Shepherd and follow him to this resting place for you.
“He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss.” Psalms 23:2 TPT “Eternal Jesus , we find our rest in knowing you and receiving your abundant love . As we go about our day remind us that it is your breath that breathes love through us to all we meet. Let us carry your peace into every situation we find ourselves in. Let us return to this refreshing stream that is your living waters flowing though us.” Amen Take a moment to be still and quiet before the Lord. Feel the cool refreshing grass beneath your feet and listen to the peaceful waters flowing by. We now pray together , “Lord, come and help us to be lead into the restful place you have prepared for us to be refreshed. We hold up all of the medical workers that are in the battle against this virus around the world. May they know your place of restoration and grace where they may be strengthened for the battle. Send them help for what they need and fill them with your power and wisdom. Thank you that you are a God of mercy and that you come when we call. Amen”
This week we pray verse 2. “He lets me rest in green meadows ; He leads me beside peaceful streams “ Lord , we trust in you this day to lead us where we will find rest in our souls . Quiet any anxious thoughts and bring your peace . May we carry your peace with us to others that we will encounter . We thank you for being our good shepherd. Amen
As we pray this day listen to the song “I shall not want” and offer up someone that needs healing in their body and their soul. Rest in knowing that God hears our prayers to heal our land. When we humble ourselves and completely surrender our wills to His
we are open to receive His provision . May you rest in this prayer today. https://youtu.be/r8Td9cZajyE Take a deep breath and be completely satisfied with where God dwells with you. He is our peace and gives to us all that we need. We Thank You God , our Shepherd, and offer ourselves back to You . Let’s us freely give away what you have freely given to us. Amen
“The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.”
Psalms 23:1 NLT As a church every day this week we are praying this verse . Ask God what is your need today and receive His answer. Now look for how He wants you to meet another’s need. He is the shepherd of all. “The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough.”
Psalms 23:1 tpt Today we pray for all those who do not have enough. May they know the good shepherd as the provider and sustainer. May we all know Him as Friend and be that friend to others . Amen "The Lord is My Shepherd, I shall not want."
Psalm 23 will be our common prayer verse for the week. We will all be praying the first verse throughout every day and encourage you to close the day with this verse as well. Hold the image in your mind as you offer up your own needs along with others before the Lord. See Him as the good shepherd of us all. Please post your prayers and insights daily if you like. Blessings Here is a word for the day, may you be blessed at the feet of Jesus in what ever you do and wherever you go.
PEACE-SONG: https://youtu.be/5CLafssD6bM Matt.28:8-15 - Where is Jesus? bible gateway passage Where is Peace found? At the feet of Jesus What do we cling to in times of the unexpected and when we are afraid? We may respond in denial and try to cover up our discomfort by pretending everything is as it should be. But if we do that then we are not wholly there, we are not really showing up in truth like the rulers and guards that wanted the rolled away stone to be ignored, covered up with another story. A story that really wasn't true but a rationalization to present from fear. But if we come to truth, stand on the ground where Jesus stands we have to face the truth at his feet. For He is truth and his love will cause our fears to be rolled away too. In this truth we are able to receive peace, the very peace Christ breathed in to his disciples and He breathes in to you and me today. Peace is found in our facing fear and being overjoyed at the same time because He is with us. There will always be questions in these unfamiliar times, when our lives are being made new because it is something we have not experienced before. That is what makes it completely new. Do not be afraid Jesus tells us because he knows we are. Love conquers fear, so cling to the feet of Jesus. Weep there, be overjoyed there, find peace. PSALM 16:1-2,8-11 1 Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge. 2 I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.” I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. 8 I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. 9 No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice My body rests in safety. 10 For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your holy one to rot in the grave. 11 You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. Romans 15:13 (TPT) Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope! Peace to you this day! Blessings, Denise |
