PRAYERS & DEVOTIONAL

October 8 Prayer

October 8 Prayer

“Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and keep knocking and the door will be opened to you.” Lk.11
Persistence is needed to keep on asking and to believe we will receive.
But Who are we putting our faith in, our own belief system, rules and laws or in a supreme being that is loving, generous, and omnipresent?

What if we simply lived by faith and really believed that our good, good father will give us more than bread?
He promises to give the Holy Spirit to all that receive him.
Like a Mother rising early to bake us warm bread and providing a generous portion for us to eat.
Take and eat and be filled.
For only as we are filled with the Holy Spirit may we be able to live simply without attachments that drag us downward into our fears.

Our persistence is in asking to be filled, new everyday.
Our persistence is in seeking to find his dwelling place in us.
Our persistence is in knocking on the doors until they open and let in the grace ready to be given.
Like warm bread in the early morning.
May we be filled and satisfied to break our bread like Jesus did and give it to others.

We ask today Lord for your Holy Spirit of love, grace and power to dwell within us, your body of believers and give us the strength to believe you for the greater, simpler way.
Show us how to use our faith that brings glory to you on the earth.

“And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power.
Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life.” ‭‭Eph. ‭3:16-17‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Amen
