
Spiritual Direction: Denise Brill
Birthed out of her own contemplative pursuit, God has given Denise a desire to companion others on their spiritual journey. She and her husband Daniel have pioneered and pastored two Vineyard churches since 1980 in California and had worked alongside missionaries while living in Europe through a debriefing ministry for several years. Denise currently offers spiritual direction, leads spiritual formation groups and guided retreats, upon request.
Having received her certificate in spiritual direction from Sustainable Faith (.sustainablefaith.com/spiritualdirection/), Denise is equipped to offer this ministry for those seeking a deeper awareness of God and to grow in spiritual discernment and freedom. She and her husband also host a retreat guesthouse in Cambria on their property for spiritual retreats. (cambriaseastar.com/)
Art, poetry and gardening are her sacred spaces and she is a Benedictine Oblate at the New Camaldoli Hermitage in Big Sur which she frequents for personal retreat. She currently serves part time as an associate pastor with her husband at Cambria VIneyard Church in California.
Training: Certificate in Spiritual direction through Sustainable Faith . Denise is a member of ESDA and SDI.
Spiritual Interests: "My passion is with nature and the arts and I belong to the virtual monastic community of Abby of the Arts. Ignatian Spirituality and the monastic contemplative way have been predominant foci in my own spiritual life over the years."
