September 17 Prayer
‘Find your delight in the Lord, and He will give you what you most desire. Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way, you’ll find that he will help you..’Ps.37:5 Start this day with gratitude for all the good things given to you. The resources that have been provided for you. Everything for your good. There is a way for you to walk this day that is filled with delight and not fret. It starts with remembering and giving thanks. Delighting in what is right before you, the beauty of nature, the bird’s song outside. Jesus right here with you now. Pause to give thanks as you start the day... ‘Jesus, we give to you our own way, the very course of our lives, for you to guide us this day. We give to you all the resource of our faith to trust and believe, hope and delight in You. For you have given to us all good things. Our hearts will silently wait for you to act as we watch to see where you are moving. We give back to you everything we have because you have sent all of our selfishness far away. May we forgive as we have been forgiven and look for your goodness everywhere. May we live in this place of gratitude, full of grace to generously give it away. Thanks be to God, who is our help and hope. Amen Ps.37:1-9, Ps.103:3-5, Lk.8:1-3 Dee Brill September 16 Prayer
The unforgiven The lonely outcast The judged and condemned The righteous and proud The bound and scared All sitting at a table With Jesus there Mercy is poured out On one All is forgiven Much is given Love flows and forgiveness frees And the way of peace is made- Receive now His peace to enter the place where you need forgiveness. Hide no more, be bold and ask for all you need. Praying; ‘Jesus, Let me see your full compassion for all and your anger against the evil lies of shame and blame. Set us free with your forgiveness to see with your mercy, to be your givers of mercy and stand against all that separates us. Make a way in us that creates peace to forgive as we are forgiven. Make us willing as you are willing to reach out to touch, the unforgiven, the lonely, the judged and condemned, the righteous and proud, the bound and scared. For we are all the one You reached out to touch. May your living waters of mercy flow over us today to cleanse our hands and hearts. May our hands be the instruments of your peace today.’ Amen Luke 7:36-50, Mark 1:40-45 Dee Brill September 15 Prayer
Widow Mary stood near To the cross of Jesus her son God in flesh She came closest to His pain To touch suffering Without any shame Widow Mary came nearer to enter in Because of love She could not leave the place of pain Neither did Brother John, the one who leaned he did not leave but took her in. As Jesus told him to. And this day He still speaks; ‘Come near to me When the suffering one calls It is me. ‘When it breaks your heart let it break wide open to love that will never leave. Let it be your strength, your rock and stronghold. My arms stretched out are that wide to hold all the pain of those that are suffering right now. The grieving and desperate ones I do not leave alone.’ Lord, Jesus, May we look to you for our source of strength, our hope and joy to walk with others that suffer this day. When we want to leave and walk away help us to see it is you that we draw near to. Your cross can bear it all. Your call upon us is not far away but is right here in our words and in our hearts. Make our lives this day a living prayer in everything we do, in everything we see, and in everything we say. Amen John.19:25-27, Ps.18:1-2,Deut.30:11-14 September 14 Prayer
Jesus, the form of God emptied himself To be like us Bore on the cross The very instrument of death and punishment becomes our symbol for healing power and eternal life. Death and fear will be gone. ‘For fear is always related to punishment. But love’s perfection drives the fear of punishment far from our hearts.’* Breathe here a moment as a prayer. Breathe in this grace of healing and power to live. Fear will rise and fall and have no hold on you as you accept the now you are living in. Breathe in the breath of gratitude for friends that surround you, Beauty all around you, places you have been and still have yet to travel to. Poems yet to be written, and the songs still to be sung. Hands ready to create and nurture love and compassion. Breathe in the life that God has given through Jesus, His name exalted and lifted high! So trouble your mind no longer with fears that are no longer helpful. The very thing that you have been afraid of will set you free. That’s how the power of the cross becomes real. May this be your breath prayer today in every situation, “Jesus” ‘Let the love of God and the peace of Christ and the fellowshipship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. “No one can feel hatred towards those for whom he prays.’ St. John Chrysostom Prayer frees us. When we pray for others, even those we do not like, our hearts change. When we pray with pure hearts and lift up holy hands We pray surrendered, We pray being held up, to higher heavenly ground by stronger heavenly hands with words that bless and not curse. To set those bound by lies, free to come to the truth. For God desires all people, all leaders and rulers to come to a saving knowledge of his truth. ‘Now is the proper time for God to give the world this witness… For there is one God and one Mediator.’ So let us pray with holy hands in every place, Let us pray being held up by Angels hands. “Lord, save us, save our rulers from lies and disputes. Free us from our frustrations and strife. We desire your higher ways today. Lead us under your authority so we may pray with authority. In the name of all goodness and dignity, hope and peace. ‘For you are the hope of all the earth, and of the distant seas.’ Amen 1Tim.2:1-8, Ps.91:12, Ps.65:6 Dee Brill Saturday Slow Down

Amen Dee Brill Ps.139:1-6 September 10 Prayer
How can a blind person lead another? We can only go where we have sight to see. Jesus speaks to us so clearly to come and change the way we see. The way we see ourselves when we look at others. Remember Where you have come from. Where you are helpless and in need. Remember but for the grace of God go I. Until we can set aside our own beams that get in the way we can not see the one in front of us clearly as God does. The one that is in need too, helpless like me struggling to carry their own beam. Lord, I come to you in my own limited sight and awareness, and ask you to Remove all that stands in the way from me seeing the way you see the world. I lay down my own need to be above another, to know more or be right in their eyes. Clear the way for me to see, remove the duplicity in my heart and all the ways that get in the way of a clear path of peace. You are the God of restoration and shalom. May your wisdom be set deeply within our hearts to accept your correction and guidance. Today, We receive abundant grace with faith and love from Jesus Christ to see more clearly. Lord lead the way, we pray. Amen Lk.6:39-42 Dee Brill September 9 Prayer
We are beloved of God We have all the graces we need to live as Christ These graces are clothes freely given to us, outer garments to wear, to cover our own nakedness and vulnerability. Clothing to put on; ‘Forgive as we have been forgiven. Show mercy as we have been shown mercy, Kindness, tenderness, compassion, to listen with humility and patience, trying to understand one another. These garments are to be put on, not hidden in our closets of feeling good inside, rationalizes our isolation, withdrawing from facing another brother. These garments are to put on, to practice saying I’m sorry for not understanding, sorry for reducing you into others with a label. Beloved of God It starts where you are naked and in need of mercy. It starts with knowing you are not in charge of changing others . Begin here Receive the clothing of mercy, forgiveness and grace. Be compassionate upon yourself to give yourself away. For peace will eventually rule over all And love will bind us all together in harmony When we are clothed with His garments. With your arms reached high Get dressed For a new day has begun for you to get up. With gratitude in your heart Beloved, begin again to put on these garments of grace. It’s another day to practice, keep at it, for there will be plenty of opportunities in every moment of this day. Praying; ‘Ok Lord, I surrender to all that you have for me today, by your grace I will give myself away. I will start here with gratitude that I have all that I need. I will let your dress me and feel your garments brushing up on my own flesh, my own willfulness. I will practice to walk the walk of humility and grace, and let your peace rule over my heart, and do everything in the name of love. ‘By your mercy we pray’ Amen Col.3:12-17, Luke 6:27-38 Dee Brill September 8 Prayer
Love came down heaven opened and love came down Love spoke ‘You are mine, Listen Everyone.’ Look and pay attention You are Loved! Where else could we go? Anywhere else is nowhere So come Receive the blessing from the trinity When the heavens open and love comes down. Pray, “We open our finite minds and hearts to your infinite holy knowledge that we are yours. Today with open hands and we surrender all to the place where you speak love into our beings. Let it grow and blossom into something beautiful that we carry in our eyes and on our faces. May our hands be only used for blessing what you have already begun. And may our words go forth to speak of your love coming down. Amen Dee Brill Mark 1:9-13 September 7 Prayer
Taking about spiritual health, How do we stay rooted and grounded in our faith without being persuaded otherwise? How does one stay alive and strengthened without going down the slippery slope of offense and judgment? We start with our hearts wrapped in heavens fabric of love and receive comfort being held there together. Christ is the head and all health and all fullness is in him. We are like a tree being deeply rooted to grow into Christ’s life. So stop throughout this day to recognize where your thoughts are going. What draws you and captivates your heart? Is it empty or full of faith, hope and love? “Lord, we come to you together to seek your mystery which dwells in us. Open our eyes to see the blatant difference between the world's systems and mindset and the truths of Christ’s wisdom. We surrender our thoughts and wills to become deeply rooted and filled with God to overflow in us. Lead us this day to seek you and pray for grateful hearts with benevolent love. May we show ourselves as fully alive to Christ in every way that your healing hands become ours, to reach out and bless what you are blessing. To comfort where hearts are wounded and show a better way. Amen. Dee Brill Colossians 2 |
