September 17 Prayer

‘Find your delight in the Lord, and He will give you what you most desire.
Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way,
you’ll find that he will help you..’Ps.37:5

Start this day with gratitude for all the good things given to you.
The resources that have been provided for you.
Everything for your good.

There is a way for you to walk this day
that is filled with delight and not fret.
It starts with remembering and giving thanks.

Delighting in what is right before you,
the beauty of nature, the bird’s song outside.

Jesus right here with you now.

Pause to give thanks as you start the day...

‘Jesus, we give to you our own way,
the very course of our lives, for you to guide us this day.

We give to you all the resource of our faith
to trust and believe, hope and delight in You.

For you have given to us all good things.

Our hearts will silently wait for you to act as we
watch to see where you are moving.

We give back to you everything we have because
you have sent all of our selfishness far away.

May we forgive as we have been forgiven and look for
your goodness everywhere.

May we live in this place of gratitude,
full of grace to generously give it away.

Thanks be to God, who is our help and hope.
