June 1 Prayer

Overwhelmed
Pushed beyond my own limits
Under my breath I say,
‘..all will be well,
Yet all is the chaos
stressors on every side
Planned schedule collapsed today.
Pause, pivot, adapt to the moment
‘All will be well, ...let nothing disturb you..
God is enough when you are not enough.’

With a worn out back and weak hands, on feeble knees
I look up
to cry out, O God, You are enough!
You are here for me right now in this situation.

On my knees I receive all that I need
for when I am pushed beyond my limits
You are limitless! Your strength never runs out.
I give you all of my worries, all of my cares,
my weak and worn out hands to surrender to You.

I surrender to love,
I surrender to peace
I surrender
To your will
All will be well.
