August 10 Prayer

“The glory of your splendor is our strength,
and your marvelous favor makes us stronger,
lifting us higher.”

If we serve you and follow you then we will be where you are.

Losing our lives is the process of living
fully alive in the light of Christ.

Today I get up once again to
make the bed,
tend the garden,
and
create with God a pathway for his light
to come.

I choose compassion over frustration,
mercy over irritation,
attentiveness over distractions.

Bless our spirits we pray,
Enrich our lives with every gift of the Spirit.
Lift us higher and preserve us with your grace.

Do not let our eyes be closed to the suffering of others,
Nor our ears deaf to the cries of the hopeless.
For we are all dying daily,

May we see that
there is a path of peace and justice rising up.

May we sow bountifully your grace
everywhere we go.

May we create space for the path of peace to
light the way.

That all may enter into this marvelous splendor,
this life that is abundant,
full of wonder that will never fade..
