September 4 Prayer

Saturday Slowdown

Today may there be a blessing for gathering
the misplaced and scattered pieces,
for the cracked and ragged edges of our souls.

May this blessing come from the hands of heaven
to bring peace in the finding and the fitting,
and in the melding back together every piece to make whole
again.

Bless this day of slowing down to look for the gold in every edge
and to grasp a future hope for today.

May our souls be reshaped into vessels
to hold your peace and
to be poured out for all.

For all the nations of the earth we will pray,
Shalom
