September 30 Prayer

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pure, pleasing and acceptable to You, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”

I pause to take in my thoughts and let them go.

If only I could stay in this posture without opening my mouth.
Thank God that He is our redeemer and our protector especially when we do speak and our words are not really that helpful.

We can take note and stop and start over again next time.

‘There is this wonderful world, the glory of creation that speaks to us daily without any words.

Their voice is not heard, yet their voice goes out through all the earth.
The world can hear it’s echo for God's story is everywhere.’

Psalm 19. (My own adaptation.)

As I sit on this beautiful island
with the trade winds blowing and ever changing skies,
I cannot help but listen.

I really do not want to speak.

Lord, please let my life come from a heart that is thoughtful and centered and when necessary let me speak words.

May they be kind, helpful and meaningful.

Help us all to really listen and hear the echo of your heart for all.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable this day.
