September 18 Prayer
Saturday SlowDown

It’s Saturday slow down

Open the door slowly
that has been closed where you see
the glimmer of light
through the cracks of the doorway.

Let the light come through as the door gently opens before you
and cast their beams upon the floor.

Sit here awhile as the light becomes a surrounding
presence wrapping around you as a soft light comforter.

Jesus is here
when you open the door
He comes in.

Let all the heavy weights of the past week
fall off of your shoulders
to hear his voice speaking to you.

He is the door,
and the doorway that opens now.

Let the light come in to point the way
for the day
In this slow down

As you open the door
May your heart be lifted up with God’s
eternal light.
