October 6 Prayer

“So Jesus taught them this prayer:
“Our heavenly Father, may the glory of your name be the center on which our life turns. May your Holy Spirit come upon us and cleanse us.
Manifest your kingdom on earth.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:2‬ ‭TPT‬‬

As we finish our last day on a tropical island
I watch the morning glow of the sea brighten with a kiss of the sun.

I am thinking about the way Jesus instructed us to pray.

The beauty of this prayer that starts in a family relationship.
It begins with honor,
an awe of a spirit greater than us and is the Father of our spirit.

So I begin this day bowing down with my feet firmly planted on the earth
Looking up to the heavenly kingdom and rulership of a Father of love, peace and truth.

Let us seek the face of God
Let us wait and be strong
Humble in heart, open and willing
Believing that we will see the goodness of the Lord.

And let us ask in prayer,
Manifest your kingdom on earth
Jesus be the center on which our lives turn
May your Holy Spirit come upon us
Making us new
This day
We pray.
