October 2 Prayer
Sometimes it takes a vacation,
a time to play before you really notice what makes you tick.
A slowing down of time and pressures,
a loss of rhythm,
until you are able to free float into the beauty of the moment.
Let this be that kind of kairos time when everything slows down enough to notice
the very being that we are and what holds us so tightly.
Let this be the kind of time that allows one
to enter into the beauty of being.
No matter what the atmosphere is around you, try to hold space for a little bit of time
to notice that lucid mystery of being you.
Then let all your questions, the imaginings and pleadings and
see them float into thin air.
Like a free fall.
For God is there holding you and all that will open up to you today.
Praise be to the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit
for this very existence of a slowing down time.
