June 2 Prayer

God is of the living not the dead.
Where there is death there is life
That is what resurrection is all about.
Daily dying and finding life
We want to know Christ, the resurrection and life.

So open up a window in your soul,
Open it wide to let the wind of the spirit life blow through.
Where there is death, pain and suffering
let your faith rise up with hope in his word.

``Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe and you will receive it.”
Says the Lord.

Today we come and leave behind us what is past, and lean hard into what is ahead of us.
‘Pressing on the goal which God has called us heavenwards in Christ Jesus.’

Pause here to feel his spirit in yours as you breathe in.
Take in the blessing of the morning to begin again.
Every breath is a gift.

Lord, we receive faith to walk with you today.
We look for the open windows in others that need a
hopeful word and a kind, helping hand.

Thank you that you hear our prayers and will give us our true desires.
We open up the hidden places of our hearts for you to breathe your life into us today.
