Saturday Slowdown

There is beauty here waiting to unfold.
There are hearts that behold.
Hearts to enter in.

The heart of Jesus,
The heart of his mother Mary.

One,
a sacrificial giving
Another,
a yielding to the giving
Until the two become one through a consensual yes.

There is beauty waiting to enter
In you and in me.

By the spirit
That he gives us
When we take the the time to slow down-

Listen a while, yield to
and even let your heart come to a stop-
until it begins to beat again….

This time with the merciful, remarkable love of God
that no one
and nothing could ever diminish.

“May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and the endurance of Christ.” 2 Thess. 3:5

Let the beauty of Christ and the communion of the Holy Spirit unfold within your heart today.
