June 11 Prayer

Enter the heart of Jesus
His sacred heart
The one God the Father reveals himself through
wounded by our sins,
Hurt by our wandering far from his love…

His heart remains open
His heart is tender towards us
He
Heals us when we do not even recognize him.

God lifts us up like a small child
Draws us close into his chest
Holds and protects us
With cords of kindness and mercy
Leading us with bands of love
As a good, good Father does.

And when we stray
He does not turn away rather He bends low
down to where we are to meet us there.

‘Lord, Our God
May we do the same.

Where Christ is not known,
May we show kindness and love.
Where there is longing
Make yourself known through us.

Draw us ever closer
into your heart
we pray.
