July 19 Prayer

I arise to
hear You say,
‘Do not be afraid
Stand firm and let me
accomplish the fight for freedom

Let me part the waters before you
and remove the obstacles that keep you
from moving ahead..’

I arise today and give thanks on the altar of morning
knowing that You are my strength
my hope and trust

I will greet this new day with courage
to stay in the stillness of being
to allow you to fight the battle

I will hold up your staff of promise
and see you in the midst
to part the walls
and make a way through the wilderness before me

Let this new day arise within us all
to be a part of the greater hope
to see your healing come.
