August 16 Prayer

‘Now I am deeply discouraged,
But I will remember you-
My deep need calls out to the deep kindness of love.’
Ps.42:6-8

Each day there is a pouring out from heaven above.
Listen to the roaring seas where the waves never cease to sweep.
Let them cover all of the dry and desperate cries with unfailing love.

There is always hope.
And always kindness when we are able to ponder and
believe in the goodness of God.

Today I give thanks and put my hope in God.
Today I pray for every down cast soul,
For you, Lord are the helper and lifter of those that are weighed down.

Lift their spirits today to behold your beauty
in the simplicity of creation and in the complexity of your glory.

We pray for those held captive by evil that you would frustrate the plans of the enemy.
Give your people hope to stand together in prayer for supernatural protection in the world of terror.

Wrap us up in your glory that our presence becomes a gateway for hope.

May our eyes see from a purity of heart to expand the walls of our own world and see beyond.

Help us today, Lord, to pause in between and notice the things you want us to attend to and pray.

Let our lives become your breath Prayer of peace whoever we go.
