April 1 Prayer

Maundy Thursday-John 13:1-15

He loved them till the end
Holy hands
feet made clean
feet washed by holy hands
Made holy

He loved them till the end
with holy hands
He poured out water
tied a towel
to serve
with hands to clean,
hands to tenderly wipe and dry
hands to fold,
hands to hold,
Feet that trod on earth’s floor.
Feet to proclaim peace

He knew, He choose
you and me,
for this time,
this moment,
to consent to holy hands
placed on your head,
your hands and feet.

Let Him love you now
in this way
to cleanse all that is selfish
and all that has shamed you in the past,
and let this be a beginning again
to be renewed on the inside.

Yes, Jesus, you may wash my feet today
and make me clean, all of me.

Help me to wash the feet of my brother, my sister,
my enemy and my friend.
For you love us all till the end.
