Dear Church Family,
Today, we invite you to join the leaders of Cambria Vineyard Church to start a 21-Day Prayer and Fast for our church, our pastor, and our community. We feel that this is a season for pressing in more to God - to hear from him and grow deeper together. We want to assure you that we are here for you to help in any way as our pastor Gary takes a leave for rest and counseling.
We all need rest and especially as pastors who feel the pressure to lead 24/7. Gary is a very good shepherd and he now needs some nourishment and restoration for his soul and help to process through a difficult time.John 10:27 - Jesus says: My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me.
God is giving us an invitation to all come away for a time to listen and learn from Jesus and each other through this.
All of you are ministers of the gospel, you carry the good news of Christ in you.
Each of you can give something of the kingdom through prayer.
We will be posting daily prayer devotionals for you to use as a guide.
You will be hearing more from the elders of CVC in the coming weeks for encouragement and direction.
So be assured God is with us and our help in our time of need.
He will strengthen the church through this season of prayer. You may contact us with any questions or thoughts and concerns.
Please pray with us daily, in agreement with the Father who is for us, Jesus who is with us, and the Holy Spirit that dwells within us.
Lord Jesus, we come to you as the only answer for us all.
We ask for your mercy and compassion to surround Gary and Barbara now.
Guide them and direct them to hear you clearly and draw near to you.
We ask for you to give them patient understanding as they seek you.
Help them to listen deeply.
Surround them with your ever present love and grace.
Strengthen and cover Gary to come away for a time of rest with you to guide and direct him.
Heal and restore, bring your peace and wholeness.
We pray for our church that we will learn the many things you desire to teach us.
Open our ears to listen and recognize your voice in new ways.
Open our hearts to be filled with your mercy and compassion for others.
Open our eyes to see where you are moving within us and within our community.
Let us join in with you to pray:
Your kingdom come
Your will be done here in Cambria,
Here in your church, and
Here in our hearts.
Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have Mercy.
“Now may the God of peace— who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood— may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him.
All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.”
