DAY 16 | Justice
Today as we continue praying for our church, our pastor, and our community, we pour out our hearts to God for the people of the world who are powerless, poor, and marginalized. We ask Him for justice for all and that He would compel us, as people and a Movement, toward a lifestyle of compassion to make a difference in a hurting world.
Isaiah 1:17 (NIV) – Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.
Our Daily Crafted Prayer
Lord Jesus, we come to you as the only answer for us all.
We ask for your mercy and compassion to surround Gary and Barbara now.
Guide them and direct them to hear you clearly and draw near to you.
We ask for you to give them patient understanding as they seek you.
Help them to listen deeply.
Surround them with your ever present love and grace.
Strengthen and cover Gary to come away for a time of rest
with you to guide and direct him.
Heal and restore, bring your peace and wholeness.
We pray for our church that we will learn the
many things you desire to teach us.
Open our ears to listen and recognize your voice in new ways.
Open our hearts to be filled with your mercy and compassion for others.
Open our eyes to see where you are moving within us
and within our community.
Let us join in with you to pray:
Your kingdom come
Your will be done here in Cambria,
Here in your church, and
Here in our hearts.
Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have Mercy.
